THE West Midland Traffic Commissioners last week granted permission to Midland Red to operate an increased number of buses on the motorway services to London.
The company asked for an increase in the combined vehicle allowance on the three services between Birmingham and London, one via the motorway and the two others via Coventry and Stratford; respectively.
The Commissioners also granted an application by the company for an extension of the Coventry-London service via the motorway so that this could start from Nuneaton and have a picking-up point at Bedworth.
By the acceptance of revised timings the journey between Coventry and London is reduced by 10 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes,
