Mr. E L. Proctor has been appointed general sales manager of Oswald Tillotson, Ltd. He was formerly Manchester area manager.

Mr. R. A. Wells, manager of the National Benzoic Co.'s London Division, retired at the end of last month after more than 38 years' service with the company. He is succeeded by Mr. A. Moore.

Mr. P. Worledge, sales director of the friction materials subsidiary of the Cape Asbestos Co., Ltd., and Mr. E J. Parsons, sates manager (U.K.) of Small and Parkes, Ltd. acquired by Cape Asbestos last year, have been elected to the board of Small and Parkes, Ltd.

Mr. R. Wade has been appointed traffic manager of Cumberland Motor Services, Ltd., with effect from January 1 next. He succeeds Mr. J. H. Carruthers who will be retiring at the end of this year.

Mr. R. L. Bennett, previously manager, and Mr. W. J. Pegg, previously sales manager, have been appointed managing director and sales director respectively of Alloy Transport Sections, Ltd., Birmingham.
