The survey was instituted by the tional Association of Wales and Monnithshire because, for many years, nth Wales industrialists (who rely to large extent on road transport) have worried by increasing congestion. e survey reported that no less than 47 • cent, of the 423 miles of rural trunk tds in South Wales were carrying more ffic than they were designed for.
