Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Morris Commercial Cars, Ltd., Foundry Lane Works, Soho, Birmingham. inform us that two Morris commercial vehicles recently undertook a journey, under the observation of the Royal Automobile Club, through the British Isles, without their engines being stopped.

One of them, a Morris 1-ton truck, carrying a lead of 2,604 lb., completed a non-engine-stop run from Land's End to John o' Groat's, during which it ran an average of 19.48 miles to the gallon of spirit consumed, or 49.43 ton-miles per Fotvdrivers accompanied the vehicle. The same batch of four drivers then started on the other vehicle—a 12cwt. Morris van—from John-o'-Groat's and completed a non-engine-stop run to Land's End. This van carried 1,833 lb. and registered an average of 21.19 miles to the gallon of petrol consumed. i.e., 41.23 ton-miles per gallon.

Both these journeys were completed during the recent bad weather.
