ONE of the most handsome passenger vehicles in the Show is the 22seater Pullman saloon on the specially designed j.E.2 model De Dion-Bouton

passenger chassis. The latter is also shown bare, so that visitors can examine the interesting features of this chassis in detail.

The coach :1-as a domed roof, rounded back, partition behind the driver's seat, a front side entrance and an emergency door at the rear. The nice lines are improved by a raked V-type windscreen and Van den Pins-type wings. Rawlings window lifts, locking in any position, are use-t for the side windows, which drop flush into the body.

The interior of the roof is lined With highly polished and handsomely figured mahogany, relieved by heavy mahogany mouldings of a darker shade. A polished mahogany instrument board is

also included. Semi-bucket seats face forward in pairs at each side of a central gangway and they are upholstered in grey crocodile leather, whilst the platform stepsare covered with 1-in. rubber. This vehicle is finished in Munieh lake and Auto grey.

The main features of the chassis are a power unit of 22.4 R.A.C. rating with overhead valves, the crankcase of which forms a housing for the clutch unit, to which is bolted the four-speed gearbox, the whole being three-point suspended.

The clutch is of the multiple-disc type and the drive is taken through an open cardan shaft to a propeller shaft en closed in a torque tube, this tube having an unusual type of trunnion link suspended from a cress-member. The final drive is by bevels. Pour-wheel brakes are'fitted as standard.

A 1-ton K.B. model of 12.1 h.p. is shown as a neat van finished in wagon red and with Van den Pies wings. The roof is in mahogany-faced three-ply, and ttiere is a sliding door in the partition ; double-folding doors are fitted at the rear. The complete product is of firstclass finish.

The next vehicle is the 3-4-ton J.T. model of 24.7 h.p., with a body having solid sides and tail board.
