Castrol claims it offers reduced engine wear, reduced soot deposits and extended drain intervals and meets all the Eurc-4 engine oil specifications, the so-called E6 and E7 oil requirements, and the specific demands of individual engine manufacturers: Mercedes-Benz 228.5/228.51; MAN 3277 and 3477; Renault Trucks RXD and RLD-2; Volvo VDS3: and Daf Trucks. it also comfortably exceeds the ACEA wear test limits for these requirements, indicating the possibility of plenty of further development of the lubricant.
