It's been a busy week on the TruckNet UK forums, with some discussion of the CV Show by those who visited the NEC last week but more on the upcoming Truckfest spectacular at Peterborough (drop in and see us on the joint Truck & Driver! TruckNet UKstand).
Protemp4Logistics issued a survey last week showing that many drivers wereearning the same or less than they were in 2004 and many drivers using TruckNet UKback up this finding. Comments show that for some drivers income has fallen in real terms over the last few years. For example: 'We have just had our 'irst pay rise in three years... all of £500 a year" and: We had the first pay rise for three years for some of us, which was 2.5%."

In the Old Time Lorries and Companies forum the Murfitts thread rages oh, as does an attempt to name a number of UK hauliers from a photo of a line-up at Rungis in the mid-1980s.
