Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Coliseum Coaches won the Coach of the Year award at last weekend's Sealink British Coach Rally at Southampton with its Setra S215HD to notch up an impressive double after its success at the Blackpool Rally the previous week.

The company wins £2,000 worth of marketing support, and driver Ken Pitter gets a 250 cash award.

Coach Driver of the Year is Roy Hall of Grey-Green, who completed the fastest penaltyfree run in the driving finals to win a Metro City car.

More than 50 coaches gathered at Fleet Services on the M3 on Saturday for the 110km road run through Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire. This was the rally's second year at Southampton, and entrants were generally agreed that the organisation had benefited from the problems encountered in 1989.

The driving tests were held in the Freeport area in Southampton Docks, and for the first time drivers used Plaxton bodied Daf coaches supplied by the organisers.

This year's competition, sponsored by Michelin, involved regional heats at Harwich and Stranraer. Top Lady Driver was Jackie Cole of Kenzies Coaches, and Midi Driver of the Year was Keith Gibbard of Saxon Coaches.

Manufacturers and suppliers mounted a display in Mayflower Park, and making their Southampton debut were the Plaxton-bodied Mercedes 0303 coach and the impressive Portuguese-built Camo Mirage high-floor coach.

Daf and Optare won the associated Bus of the Year award for the second year running; this year's winner was a Daf Optare Delta recently supplied to the London Buses Westlink unit The entry was lower than in previous years, but it was notable that most of the entrants were highspecification, high-floor coaches, reflecting an upmarket trend in the coach business.
