In fact he disapproves of things like furry dice and Garfield stuffed cats so much he aims to ban them, He considers them to be dangerous and distracting.
Atkins made his anti-toy feelings public when he backed Labour MP Tony Banks's attack on car accessories. "1 share with you an obsessive hatred of dingle-dangles in the back windows of cars," were his words.
Banks wants to go so far as listing forbidden ones in the Highway Code. Would this then form part of the driving test? "Next question Mr Bloggs. which cute little furry toys can you not hang on your windows . . ."
