• Gemsam, the Huy-ton-based independent operator, which trades as Liverbus, has expanded its Liverpool to Huyton services by adding two new routes and nine more secoiltdhand double deckers, from GM Buses.
The company, which started trading at the beginning of the year with 30 buses and 70 staff, now has four services which compete with Merseybus.
All routes run on Sundays and in the evenings on a commercial basis as the company believes in providing a comprehensive service to passengers, even in the slack periods.
