Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Transfleet has introduced mobile workshops to speed up servicing and breakdown response on its ASDA contract covering 333 tractive units and trailers running out of six depots.

Following a successful trial with two units, four more have been set up to give each depot its own mobile. Most of the servicing on the refrigerated semitrailers is now done on-site, reducing visits to the workshop to pre-MOT inspections.

Leyland Oaf 400 Series highroofed turbo diesels have been chosen as the base vehicle for the mobiles; internal fittings are by Edstrom. Along with a bench, vice and drawers, each features a compressor, welding equipment and bench grinder. Total cost is around £19,000 per van.

Now Transfleet may extend the use of mobile workshops to other contracts.
