THE CLYDE PORT Authority has started work on a dredging programme at Ardrossan Harbour which will increase the channel depth from the present 4.5 metres to 5.5 metres.
The first customer to benefit from the £650,000 dredging programme will be Northern Ireland Trailers (Scotland) Ltd who will have greater flexibility of operations according to general manager, George Ruff.
The scheme is expected to be completed within three months.
