Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

prosecuted for working excessive hours and sometimes as much as 60 or 70 hours a day is quoted. How is this possible as there are only 24 hours in a day?

Part VI of the Transport Act 1968 lays down that a driver should have at least 11 consecutive hours off duty between each working day. If a driver does not have 11 hours off duty, then it is considered that the two periods of duty (or more) till the occasion when he commences a period of that nature off duty comprise one working day. The duty times are then added together and represent a working day.
