PRE-TAX profits for Plaxtons (Scarborough) Ltd in the six months ended February 28 this year were £248,000, compared with the £342,000 in the same period of the preceding year. Profits for the previous six months — August 31, 1973 — were £1,010,000. Profits from the coach division were less than expected owing to loss of production during the power crisis.
