A PROGRAMME of day tours has 2-1 been arranged by the York Pullman Bus Co., Ltd., Foss Islands, York, for York holiday week from July, 28August 3. Each tour is priced individually, but a passenger may travel on them all at a total cost of £3 17s. 6d.. with a child's fare of LI 18s. lid.
The programme is arranged so that long tours of nearly 200 miles are followed the next day by shorter journeys starting about an hour later in the morning. To allow housewife customers time for shopping, the Friday excursion will depart from York at 2.15 p.m Destinations include Matlock, Bath, Dovedale, Windermere, Morecambe, the Dukeries and the North Yorkshire Moors. Total mileage for the week is over 1,000.
