Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Contractor

Of all the huge ‘Mountain Movers’ which eased their way out of the Scammell factory gates at Watford, the Contractor stood head and shoulders above anything else. Built between 1964 and 1983, the Contractor was the favoured motive power for many heavy haulage operators – whether at home or abroad. Either in ballast box or artic form, the 327hp Cummins NTC 335-powered 6x4 Mark 1 Contractor was rated by Scammell for up to 240 tons [sic] gross operation. But, hand on heart, we’ve witnessed a Mark 1 moving 1,000 tonnes, unassisted, before wheel spin on a greasy surface meant it needed help. Heavy hauliers ran out of superlatives talking about the Contractor, but when Scammell introduced its Mark II in 1976 the industry had seen nothing like it. Only six of these were built, but even now, 30 years after they left Scammell, they are still

at work – moving mountains of course. (BT)
