A NEW RANGE of vehicles from 7.5 to 16 tonnes is to be launched on the European mar ANTHONY CARRIMORE'S latest semi-trailer car transporter can hold eight large cars, two more than the previous capacity.

Through the adoption of individual elevated ramps, one additional car can be loaded on the top deck. When raised hydraulically (by two stage rams developed from AC's displacement type tipping gear range) to the travelling position, an extra deck pivots below the elevated structure.

The geometry of the rear 'upper deck supports has been redesigned using rigid one piece "goal posts" hinged at the top and located in slides over the wheel arches to provide improved lateral rigidity. Locking pins hold the sliders at any one of three points corresponding to intermediate deck positions.

The first two Anthony Carriore MK X11 car transporters ill go into service with Richard awson Transport on the comany's distribution contract with ercedes-Benz (UK).
