AN application by Derby Borough Police Athletic Club to run its own coach on excursions and tours has been refused by the East Midland Licensing Authority.
The club had operated a vehicle on a permit issued in 1948 under the Defence Regulations. The Licensing Authority stated that this permit would be revoked and the further issue of fuel allowed solely for excursions specified in the permit would be stopped. He was satisfied that the club's needs could be met by existing operators in the area.
