Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AWARDS have now been made for the Maythorn Essay Competition, 1949, organized by the Institute of British Carnage and Automobile Manufacturers. The subject of the required essay was " Present-day Motor Body Design and its Effect on Maintenance and Repair."

First place in section 1 (for public service vehicle bodywork) was shared by two entrants. W. lioness, of Newport, Mon, and L. Barradell, of Blackburn, each being awarded £20 and the silver medal of the Institute. The next two essays were also judged to be of equal merit, and C. E. S. Lane, Birmingham, and A. F. Clark. Edgware, were awarded £5 and the Institute's diploma.
