Morris Machines Delivered.
Two Morris combination hosetenders, first-aid sets and escapecarts, for the Corporations of Bury (Lancs.) and Pretoria (South Africa) have just been completed at the Salford works.
Belfast to Come Up-to-Date.
Belfast has now decided to provide £2,000, in the city's estimates for the ensuing financial year, for the purchase of motor fire-equipment, in pursuance of the recommendations of the Police Sub-committee.
Bombay Wants Motor Equipment.
Bombay will shortly invite tenders for : two motor fire-engines, one with a. 75 ft. escape ; a motor fire-ladder of 85 ft.; a chassis upon which the local brigade can mount an existing chemical outfit; and, probably, four extra motor fire-escapes.
Argyll Machines, Sheffield's Argyll motor-escape has turned out to 272 calls, in 2+ years, according to the report of Chief-Officer Wm. Frost ; Dundee's Argyll has turned out to 132 calls, in 15 months, according to the report of Firemaster j. S. Weir. An Argyll tender is on order for Oldha.m. Bulgarian Orders.
The Municipality of Sofia (Bulgaria) has voted 95,000 francs for two firebrigade automobiles and two motorvans suitable for the transport of meat. A similar type of meat-van was adopted, some time back, by the French War Office : its sides and endpieces are double, and a ventilator, worked from the engine, sends a constant stream of fresh air through the van.
