• Bolton-based K&S,f Harvey is offering hauliers around the country the chance to match its estimated savings of nearly £200,000 a year by flagging out their fleets to the Continent.

Owner Ken Harvey, who has recently flagged his first truck out to Holland, says he will pass on details on the Dutch managerial company which helped him make the move to any operators who contact him.

"I estimate I will save 117,500 a year on my Dutch-registered truck," he says. "We eventually aim to have 10 of our total of 20 trucks registered there." Contact: 01204 791563.

• Earlier this year Harvey said he was prepared to go to jail rather than pay a 190 parking penalty imposed by Granada Service Stations (CAI 22-28 April). But despite receiving a letter from solicitors in early March warning him to pay or receive a court summons, Harvey says he has heard nothing, "despite constant attempts I have made to find out where I stand".
