• The 1993 Classis Commercial Motor Show will take place on Sunday 13 June at the BP Truckstop on the A5 near Rugby. The Commercial Vehicle and Road Transport Club event has been going for more than a decade and generally attracts more than 2110 exhibits. It is held alongside the CVRTC's Model Festival. Paying your way

• Government plans to make road users pay for new interurban roads will be examined on 23 June at a conference in London. Paying for InterUrban Distribution Roads is being organised by the Waterfront Partnership and The Chartered Institute of Transport. Transport Secretary John McGregor will explain the thinking behind the Government's new Green Paper; delegates will also hear the conclusions of a Chartered Institute of Transport study on road charging, and the BR F viewpoint

• The US International Trucking Show, now in its 32nd year, is expected to attract more than 25,000 truckers at the Anaheim Convention Centre in California on 22-24 July Over a thousand of the visitors will be from overseas About 500 exhibitors will be there, including manufacturers of heavy and medium-duty trucks and components, and other suppliers. Free seminars will range from"On-board computing" to "Tips on lowering workers' comp costs".
