Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

VICKERS and MAN have joined British Leyland in the hunt for, bus orders worth $100,000,000 at the International Union of Public Transport congress in Montreal this week.

The orders could come from the Montreal urban community and other Quebec municipal operators and it would probably be for 1,200 single-decker vehicles which — depending on options — would be delivered over the next two to three years. It is thought that Vickers would build buses to MAN designs at its Montreal East• plant where there is spare capacity. But for either of the British companies to win the contract they must beat the powerful American Motors AM General bus division and General Motors Diesel Canada.
