RECORDING RUNNING HOURS

AN electrical device for recording the number of hours an engine or other unit runs is being marketed by Target Services. 6-11 Dorset Close. Gloucester Place, London, N.W.1. When current

is supplied to the instrument an electromagnet winds up the clockwork mechanism.

The clockwork drives the counting device, which registers up to 10,000 hr. in one-tenth hours. If connected to the dynamo there is no need to interpose a switch, but in most other applications some form of switch, which closed when the vehicle moved off and opened when it stopped, would be called for.
