THE smart fleet of four Chevrolet 1-ton delivery vans, of which we reproduce an illustiation herewith, has been supplied by Messrs. R. H. The folk. vehicles purchased by the Northern Press and Engineering -0i. have been found most suita'ble for this strenuous duty of newspaper delivery, which calls for the use of light, speedy and reliable vehicles. The light, data ble bodies, smartly finished in primrose,

with which the vans are fitted, were built by Messrs. Foster, and MacintoshN.A.P. tyres are fitted on the rear wheels and Goodyear pneumatics on the front, in order to make for additional speed.

Three of the vans are stationed at South Shields,, where -they handle the various editions of the evening paper over a ten-mile radius, s well as coping with deliveries of the weekly produc tions printed at the same publishing house, whilst the other vehicle is employed at North Shields, where the' Shields Daily News—another evening paper—has to be hurried in all directions round the mid-Tyne district on the north side of the river. f.•_+everal.editions of this paper are printed, and tons of newspapers are distributed each after noon and evening by the four vehicles. which are kept fully employed.
