Elhe deluge that dampened Wimbledon made summer a distant memory. However, the beginning of June produced some traditional summer weather in the sense that the sun shone, ice creams were licked and sunglasses worn. Under such conditions did the 11th Yorkshire Trucking Spectacular take place, attended by the Hawk, his trusty Reliant Robin and faithful dog Foden. Produced by Live Promotions—the promoters of Truckfest—the Yorkshire Spectacular lacked nothing in the trucking awards and colourfully painted trucks departments. Many of CiVis friends were there, complete with their ever-more elaborate barbecue sets and portable fridges full of thmies.
