aulier James Irlam's annual charity Hog Roast raised more than £40,000 for the Cancer Research Campaign. Set in the grounds of director David Irlam's home, 850 guests contributed to the night's success. £30,000 was raised through a grand auction. There were no frocks from Lady Di but a signed shirt of Eric Cantona's went for £6,000 and one from Ryan Giggs fetched £1,400. Six women bid for a luxury holiday in Antigua, snapped up for £7,000. However, the surprise of the evening was the raffle of an Eddie Stobart vintage model truck: Boalloy snapped it up for £4,000. Small in some eyes is indeed beautiful.
