IN LAST MONTH'S Autumn Statement, chancellor George Osborne said: "If all departments made greater provision of digital services, rationalised their property estates as some have done, then a further £1bn could be saved."
This makes sense and is relevant to Vosa's testing stations.
We would make progress in transferring to private sector workshops if they were allowed to do the testing within a system of high-quality regulation.
The increase in the Annual Investment Allowance is a welcome reversal of policy that will encourage investment in new trucks and trailers, and help strengthen the SME sector.
