Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE SOCIETY OF Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) is to host a series of European wholevehicle type approval (EWVTA) workshops in February The workshops will cover how to obtain EWVTA quickly and easily and include guidance from firms that already have approval.

The SMMT will collaborate with Vosa and the Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) for the workshops, which are free, but limited to 50 places each.

SMMT chief executive Paul Everitt said: "Through these workshops, the SMMT will help companies to get fully up-to-speed with the latest type approval regulations, ensuring that they meet all legal requirements and can successfully sell their products" The first workshop is at Huntingdon Race Course in Cambridgeshire, on 6 February • CM will be publishing a guide to European whole-vehicle type approval, and explaining what it means to bodybuilders and hauliers, in the 17 January issue.
