CLIPPER LOGISTICS AND Potter Group have written to Selby District Council to question a proposed development that would see 985 homes opened near their operating centres in the town.
The hauliers believe it will lead to direct conflicts between their operations and local residents, giving rise to the possibility of operating restrictions being applied to what is a 24/7/365 site.
In a letter to Selby District Council seen by CM, Clipper Logistics operations director Nigel Hinds said that 24-hour operation was one of the key attractions of the site.
He added that any restrictions on hours of operation or traffic movements "would impact severely on our operations and force our customers to consider alternative options".
A spokesman for Selby District Council said the authority was working alongside the developers to look at some of the issues that had been raised.
