GB SCAFFOLDING has been given the go-ahead to base two vehicles at the Land East of Carville Road, Swan Hunter Site, in Wallsend subject to: • all authorised vehicles will have a rolling road brake test once before the MoT, and once inbetween MoTs. The results will be recorded and records kept for at least two years; • all authorised vehicles will have a thorough and effective pre-MoT inspection. Records are to be kept for at least two years; • company boss Gordon Bremner will undertake the Driver CPC course, to include drivers' hours and tachographs, within 12 months; • in order to satisfy the financial requirements, the operator will submit evidence of financial standing to the traffic area office; • maintenance systems and documentation, as well as vehicle inspections, will be audited by an independent transport consultant or body annually. Audit reports will be prepared, acted on and retained for at least two years. A copy of all reports will be forwarded to the office of the TC within 14 days of their receipt, together with the operator's proposals for implementing the recommendations; • safety inspections will be pre-planned and never more than six weeks apart. The preventive maintenance inspection reports will be fully and properly completed, show rectification and be retained for at least two years; • the operator will undertake a transport manager awareness course; • there will be a nil defect daily driver reporting system. Defect reports will show rectification and all reports will be retained for at least two years.
