Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Engine: 3.9-litre, 4-cyl Euro-4 Cummins; 6.7-litre, 6-cyl Cummins ISBe4, 168hp/600Nm, 247hp/950Nm, 285hp/1,020Nm Transmission: ZF 6spd man, Eaton and ZF 9sod man, Allison 5spd auto Chassis: 4x2, 6x2 GVW: 14 18t, 26t Wheelbase:4,000-7,250mm This time last year, we were still expecting the Turkish company with its roots in what was the British Motor Corporation to make its name in distribution rigids. But a few factors helped the UK arm to change direction.

Firstly, the company gained a new owner in the shape of India's Ashock Leyland. Then the arrival of a low-entry RCV cab derived from the firm's coach range coincided with a score of former Seddon-Atkinson dealers and a few senior personnel from the same network joining the BMC family. They were well set-up to handle BMC's Cummins/ ZE/Meritor running gear.

It was logical, therefore, for BMC to concentrate its efforts on the municipal market. It still sells distribution rigids and provides off-the-shelf skip loaders. A cab facelift due soon.
