• David Gill is to head Leyland Dafs merged truck and van sales and marketing operation: he is currently managing director of truck marketing and sales. Gill effectively replaces Roger Phillips who was made redundant last year when Leyland Daf integrated the two arms of its business (CM10-16 Oct 1991),
The Thame HQ and Birmingham van sales offices will be closed and new premises opened this year. Redundancies are likely among the 380 staff.
