• A new light CV has been promised by Nissan Motor (GB), the UK importer for Nissan vehicles, which took over from Nissan UK on 1 January. The favourite must be the high-cube Nissan Sunny, launched at the Brussels Motor Show a year ago (CM 24-30 Jan 1991).
With a claimed 500kg payload and 3m3 of body volume, the Sunny would be a strong competitor for the Ford Courier, new Renault Extra, Citroen C15 and Fiat Fiorino. Its specification
includes a rear wiper and heated rear window.
Nissan Motor has dropped the D21 one-tonne pickup, the Vanette window van and the current Sunny van from its UK price list, published today (9 January).
The range now comprises the Vanette, Urvan and Cabstar. Prices have risen by 2.5% on average, starting at £8,342 (exVAT) for the petrol Vanette, rising to £11,339 (ex-VAT) for the diesel Urvan.
