• PPG Fabrications of Thorney near Peterborough is collaborating with Northern Irelandbased SDC Trailers to build eight 10.5 and 12.2m aluminium hollow-planked tipping semitrailers.
The work is part of an ongoing export order for SDC's customers in Germany. Built with full-width flat floors and twin barn doors with grain hatches, the 74m3 bulkers are designed to carry a full complement of pallets on return journeys.
They feature 100mm rear hinge pins, Edbro DD21 tipgear and SAF air sprung axles with front lifters and rear stabilisers.
