• The first Seddon Atkinson Stratos to be fitted with the 306kW (410hp) 14-litre Cummins Super E410 engine are now with distributors as demo vehicles.
The 1741C 4x2 Strata was launched at the Scottish Institute of Road Transport Engineers show back in September; rivals ERF and Foden already offer the E410 engine.
Seddon's next big engine launch is expected in March, when the first Stratos with the 298kW Perkins 400Tx will come on stream, This model is now being evaluated by South London operator B()C Interbrand (CM 7-13 Nov 1991).
