Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Experience gained through building large numbers of aluminium-alloy containers is being applied to the manufacture of a range of semi-trailer vans by Cravens HomaHoy.

Structurally the van bodies are very similar to the containers with running gear, using a wide mounting subframe bolted directly to the sides of the van. For weather tightness the roof sheet is in one piece with bonded roof-bows riveted to the cant rails outside the load space. The rear door frame uses cast steel corners—the lower ones incorporating dock bumpers—to take the welds away from the highly stressed corners, so improving the strength and life.

Separate colour-coded lighting system wires are carried in weatherproof lightweight conduit. Junction boxes have been eliminated, the only connections being to the lamps and the front seven-pin connector.

A wide range of trailer lengths, single or tandem axles, heights and detail options is available to suit customer needs.

Cravens Homalloy has made use of Strick Corporation designs, and this is the second model of the new trailer range to become available.
