Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• To overcome space limitations on buses and coaches, due to the increasing amount of ancillary equipment carried, a new two-inone public address system has been added to the minihailer range made by Lee and Son Development Co., 98 Lordship Lane, London, 5E22.

The new model is the Compactum T.A.C14 which combines the tape recorder with an amplifier and provides a complete public address system. It is a simple installation unit which occupies an area of 12in. by 7in. by 3in. and is connected to the power supply by a 4ft cable. The Compactum will operate from either a 12V or 24V system, interchangeability of voltage being made by a small four-pin plug at the rear of the unit.

The unit contains a built-in 4W amplifier, a pre-amplifier for tape playback and a microphone which can be worn by the driver. Controls for the microphone, tape, tone and input are on the front facia panel and a radio tuner socket is provided at the rear of the unit.

Excellent quality taped music, obtained from a standard cassette, can be supplied as ideal background music during a commentary. It is designed to operate one to six speakers in a series ring circuit.

The cost of the Compactum, with metal carrier, is £54 plus purchase tax, although no purchase tax is chargeable when the unit is fitted as initial equipment. Orders have already been received for the new model, including, one from World Wide Coaches Ltd. of London.
