Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A V8-engined Guy bus/coach chassis for export markets will be shown for the first time at the Brussels show, which opens on January 15. It will be an 11-metre Guy Conquest chassis (marketed in Britain as the Daimler Roadliner) and will be fitted with the British Leyland 810 V8 13.1 litre diesel engine.

The V8 engine, which develops up to 291. bhp at 2,600 rpm, with an equivalent torque figure of 682 lb. ft. at 1,400 rpm, is compactly mounted at the rear of the chassis and is coupled through a fluid flywheel to

the latest Daimler heavy-duty four-speed electro-pneumatically operated semi-automatic epicyclic gearbox.

Alternative engines which can be fitted to this low-frame chassis are the Perkins V8.510 V8 engine of 8.36 litres and Cummins V6-200 9.63-litre V6 engine, the latter being the engine originally fitted as standard in the Daimler Roadliner chassis.

The Brussels exhibit will be fitted with Metalastik "togglelink" rubber suspension; alternatives are full air suspension and leaf springs, the latter being the standard fitting.
