No Appearance, No Grant: When B and 13 Security Police, Birmingham, failed to appear at a public inquiry in Birmingham, on Tuesday, to apply for a two-vehicle B licence to carry cash in transit within 15 miles, the application was refused. Two More on A Licence Granted: Customer witnesses gave evidence of complaints of long delays in collection and delivery of their goods when F. Lewis and Sons (Birmingham) successfully applied to add two vehicles to their fleet of 22 A-licensed vehicles at Birmingham on Tuesday.

Bid Fails: The first application by W. and M. Transport and Storage Ltd., Salford, since the company was formed last April, was refused by the North Western deputy Licensing Authority, Mr. G. Newman, last week. The bid was for a 3f-ton vehicle on B licence, to carry mainly cotton, chemicals and plastics exclusively for W. H. Knott and
