Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I am an owner-driver and I had a front tyre blow-out on my unit. The motorway contractor said it would cost £2,000 for him to cone-off the nearside lane so that the tyre itter could change my wheel. Is this correct?

No, the contractor’s job is to manage the trafic and therefore they should not be charging hauliers for this.

They may invoice a haulier for damage to the road surface or barriers (in the case of a road trafic accident), but your insurance should cover that event.
