CLAIMS for increased wage rates by bus and Metro employees ia Paris have been pressed by a new method. Without warning, certain services are stopped. These stoppages have been called "hiccup strikes" and have caused much dislocation of transport services.
Transport authorities in Paris have decided to increase all bus fares by 25 per cent. from January 30. Metro fares were also raised in an attempt to meet expenditure.
