Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

PRODUCTION of a new of

vehicle engine is reported from Gourock. where the Cowal Engineering Co.. Ltd., is completing the prototype of a gas-turbo-engined unit, designed by Mr. John Rhodes, of Edinburgh. The basic feature of the design of the 33 h.p. engine is a pump, driven by a gas turbo.

The pump will drive oil through special flexible hose to a hydraulic driving unit incorporated in the road wheels of the vehicle. There are no gears, clutch or differential The engine will be air cooled via the air intake and lubrication will be automatic. Other points are that the turbo engine can be produced at a quarter the cost of a normal pistontype unit, that its weight will be less than half that of such a unit, and the construction is such as to permit of easy assembly. Fuel consumption is claimed to be at the rate of 45-50 m.p.g. on paraffin.
