Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The Royal Air Force has placed an £11.5m order with Dennis Eagle for air-transportable refuelling vehicles. The 26-tonners are based on the Elite 6x4 chassis, with cabs providing sleeping accommodation for two crew members and storage for up to 350kg of support equipment. They are powered by 245hp Cummins engines driving through Allison electronically controlled auto transmissions.

A fuelling equipment pod behind the cab contains two hose reels, a water separator and a flow meter, behind that is the 15,200-litre tank. Extra capacity is provided by a 24-tonne, fourwheeled drawbar trailer carrying another 20,000 litres.

The whole rig is designed to be carried in a Hercules C130 transporter, and to operate in temperatures between -30° and 50°C, fuelling aircraft from Apache helicopters to Harriers.

The tankers, which have to drive on public roads in Europe, comply with European ADR standards. Deliveries will start in January, ending in February 2000.
