over 2.3 million for light commercial vehicles from MAN Volkswagen, and Austin Rover.
The 130 vehicle/21.5m order for MAN-VW includes 40 new G90 8.150 chassis cabs, and 30 LT35 diesel chassis cabs. Other vehicles include the Caddy pickup, the Caravelle minibus, and the old model MT 8.136 chassis cabs.
The rental company is expanding its 7.5-tonne GVW fleet due to growing market demand, and the vehicles will be fitted with a mix of box, dropside, and platform bodies.
The £1.8 million order for Austin Rover is for 500 petrol-engined Maestro vans that will be supplied over the next two years. The two orders will expand the company's existing fleet of around 1,700 vehicles, although the bulk of its business is still in medium-sized vans. For this the company buys Ford Transits.
