Service (HDS) for 1,500 200 Series Sherpa vans worth £11.2 million.
The vehicles will be supplied over the next four years, and will be fitted with the two-litre DI diesel engine jointly developed by Perkins and Austin Rover.
The Littlewoods-owned delivery service previously operated 1.7-litre Sherpas, converted to use liquid petroleum gas. The decision to change to diesel vans is based on the cost of running the two different drivelines.
