A CAMPAIGN to encourage pedestrians to wear something light and easily visible in the dark, and drivers to exercise extra vigilance at night, has been launched by the Greater London Road Safety Unit. Bus posters, radio messages and leaflets warn: "Don't be a human hedgehog."
People should, however, continue to eat bread and milk, otherwise it may be the Bakers' Federation and the Milk Marketing Board that become prickly.
