GAC Ireland has completed its first high-floor touring coach which will be shipped to Los Angeles for the next Olympic Games (CM, November 5).
The coach is the first of 22 being built for MAN and will be supplied to Wahl Coaches in the United States. The coach is based on MAN three-axle chassis adapted to meet US requirements.
It is powered by an upright in line MAN D2566 260hp engine, and is built on a special threeaxle chassis originally designed for the Australian market.
The luxury body shares the same lines as the MAN SR280 range of coaches available in Britain.
