Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE WINCANTON Group has appointed a new transport development manager. Alastair Elder takes over the post and will be based at the company's Somerset headquarters.

He joined the group in 1978 as Eastern Counties operations manager, looking after Ipswich, Attleborough and London depots. In 1971 he became commercial sales manager for bulk haulage operations.

In his new role he will be mainly responsible for developing new business within all areas of Wincanton Transport's activities, particularly major with-driver fleet takeovers.

Taking over from Mr Elder as commercial sales manager is Martin Ashby, who joined the company earlier this year. He entered the transport industry in 1976 and spent a year in Saudi Arabia working for a Dutch/Arab heavy haulage company.
