Axle and Bearing Pullers P1A NEW range of pullers is available from Millers Falls Co. Ltd: Made by Proto Tools Ltd., it includes many different sets for special jobs and a master set which includes each and every unit available. The pullers are designed to be of a universal nature and by bolting together regular Prato legs, parts can be drawn off long shafts. Internal-collet-type units are available for removing bearings from housings and these are used in conjunction with a slide hammer. Other types for removing steering wheels and battery-lug clamps arc supplied.

Stand for Pipe Bender

N response to numerous requests from users of the Staffa Rotapress pipe-bending machine, Chamberlain Industries Ltd. have introduced a specially designed collapsible stand to increase the scope of the machine.

Apart from enabling the operator to work at a more convenient level, the stand permits light-gauge tube from f in. to 2 in. o.d. to be bent in two opposite planes without hindrance. The stand can be rapidly assembled and can be carried in the Rotapress fitted container.

Winter Aids ANEW range of aids to winter motoring has been developed by technicians of the Molyslip company. These are:— Winter Mix, a special grade of oil additive which, whilst it will not affect the viscosity of engine oils at working temperatures. will reduce starting torque by more than 10 per cent.

Run-In, a combination of lubricating and chemical compounds which prevent seizure and scuffing but permit the wearing down of high spots and promote the plastic flow of metals during the running-in period.

Quick Start, an aerosol spray compound which it is claimed will ensure an instant start and clear all condensation as soon as it is sprayed for a few seconds into the air intake of internal combustion engines of all sorts.

Kelly Delivery Tyre THE Kelly Transport Special, a tyre specially designed for use on delivery vans, is available in 7.50 by '16 size and in 8and 10-ply ratings. The tyre has a 4 mm.-thick protective rubbing band in the side walls, which has been introduced to overcome the high proportion of incidents where the side walls of tyres fitted to delivery vehicles are worn through long before the tread.

Each of the bands has four sets of holes 4 mm. deep to enable users to measure the amount of wear on them. By turning the tyre about on the wheel disc both scuff bands can be utilized.

Pedestal-mounted Grinder BOTH 7 in. and 20 in. pedestal-mounted versions of the Cordia range of grinding machines are available in the UK. Manufactured on the Continent, they are of twin-bearing design and feature a very 19w level of heat build-up even when subjected to long periods of continuous running. All machines in the range are driven by sturdy 3-phase a.c. standard voltage motors having ample power to cope with overloading.

Glass-fibre Loading Ramps REINFORCED glass-fibre loading ramps weighing only 75 lb. have been introduced by C. F. Taylor (Plastics)

Ltd. Comprising a 4-ft. square sheet of f-in. Thames Ply S.W.52, covered by orientated woven roving and surfaced with acrylic tissue to provide abrasion resistance, the toe and heel of the ramp are protected by a steel capping-strip.

The ramp is corrosionand vermin-proof and can be carried easily by one person with the lifting handle.

Useful Maps /-1 A SERIES of maps under the title "Fill and Freshen" is

now available free of charge from Spring Grove Laundries Ltd. These maps, on a scale of five miles to the inch (London, one mile to the inch), show garages, hotels, restaurants and public houses which provide toilet facilities using the Spring Grove towel service. They also show motorways, main Aand B-class routes, airports, and the extent of vehicle services offered at garages and meal services provided by eating places.

For continental visitors, the services-offered key is also in French and German. Five "Fill and Freshen" maps cover: London, the South East, East Anglia, the Midlands, the North West and West Riding of Yorkshire.
